New Carrollton, MD Real Estate

New Carrollton is located in the northern neck of Prince George’s County. I-495 borders the city on the east. The Baltimore Washington Parkway is to the west. The community takes its name from Charles Carrollton, who was a delegate to the Continental Congress and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. New Carrollton was developed on land acquired in the late 1950s by Albert W. Turner with the intentions of creating a planned suburb.

Quality of Life:

As Turner envisioned, New Carrollton is a suburban community. Residents have access to several grocery and retail stores. Nearby Greenbelt Park is an excellent location to enjoy the outdoors, go hiking or go camping. 

Getting Around:

The Baltimore Washington Parkway, I-495 and Route 50 are the major thoroughfares that serve New Carrollton residents. The Orange Line metro can be picked up at the New Carrollton Metro station.
